Only two articles show up in 1910 for the Almquist family in Perris.
In March, Gus Almquist planted a grove of eucalyptus trees. There are currently over 250 species of eucalyptus trees in California, I wonder what kind he was growing, and if they were for tree nursery use or destined to be used as lumber. This article talks a little bit about the eucalyptus boom around this time. It sounds like if Gus wanted to sell the trees for lumber he had at least a 20 year wait, but if he wanted to sell them to some suckers who wanted plant them elsewhere he was in luck.
In November the family finished building a porch and two rooms at their home in Perris.
The picture of the avenue above is from 1907 Perris. It comes from a brochure touting the qualities of Perris that can be seen at the Perris Historical Society’s website.
