Since it really feels like summer has gotten into full swing I thought I’d post this picture of Gus Almquist and his son Clarence apparently on a road trip.  From what I’ve heard Gus and Alfreida frequently traveled with a little trailer all over the US, and Clarence came along for a few of these trips.  Thanks to my Aunt Caron for sharing the above photo!

The age of the photo appears to be about 1948-1950, after Clarence had returned from serving in San Francisco in WW II. Anyone know where the photo was taken?  The totem pole in the background doesn’t look very authentic, so I’m not betting on the Northwest Coast of the US, but it could be?  Maybe interior Oregon?
